I’m Eyram Bashan, the founder of Bel Berry Africa, and this is the story of how a deep connection to my heritage sparked a journey of enterprise in the creation of this brand
From a very entrepreneurial childhood – drawing from the experience of many generational traders across the West African coast and green rugged hinterlands without borders – of both my maternal and paternal lineage; I have lived the rich and diverse heritage of Africa cultures – its vibrant colors, its rhythmic beats, its ancient wisdom, and its enduring spirit.
These elements were not just part of my environment; they were woven into the very fabric of my being. As I ventured out into the world, I carried with me the stories, traditions, and values passed down through generations.
But I also noticed something else—a growing disconnect between people and the cultural richness that shaped them. I realized that so many of the things I held dear were being overlooked or misunderstood.
I felt a calling to bridge that gap, to bring the evolving beauty and depth of Afro culture to the forefront.
